The transactional content of the Port of Cartagena Group’s website can be accessed through the use of user profiles and passwords that have been assigned to the USERS after meeting the requirements listed in the corresponding procedures.

These user profiles and passwords are personal and non-transferable so that only the USER they have been assigned to can use them in the system. If the Port of Cartagena Group detects a breach of this restriction, it will proceed to inactivate the user profile involved without this causing any liability for the Port of Cartagena Group for the potential impact on the USER or the company he/she works for.

13. Additional means of security

The Port of Cartagena Group may implement additional security mechanisms to access its website so that access is more secure. These mechanisms may be implemented at any time and will be considered as a complement to the user profiles and passwords already mentioned.

14. Traceability and Logs

The USERS accept that the Log records and annotations that are recorded in the technological platform that supports the Port of Cartagena Group’s website are evidence and proof of the transactions done by the USER. Such information may include but is not limited to user profiles, transactions, IP addresses, dates and times of different events, specific transaction data.

15. Transaction liability

The USERS are responsible for the transactions made on the Port of Cartagena Group’s website. These entities will provide the necessary security tools to carry out these activities in accordance with their policies and procedures.

16. Service provision

The Port of Cartagena Group is responsible for the provision of the services on its website. However, at any time and without prior notice, the organizations may use third parties to provide all or part of the aforementioned services. Such third parties shall comply with the security policies specified by the Port of Cartagena Group in order to maintain a similar provision of services as they are currently provided by the Port of Cartagena Group.

Confidentiality and Data Protection Regulations

The Port of Cartagena Group is committed to adopting a policy of confidentiality and data protection in order to protect the privacy of personal information and other information that is obtained or could be obtained in the future on its website.

We reserve the right to modify the Confidentiality and Data Protection Regulations detailed below in order to adapt them to new legislative, jurisprudential, or technical requirements, or anything that will allow us to provide better and more timely services and information content. Therefore, we recommend you review these regulations periodically.

Protection of Personal Information

The Port of Cartagena Group does not require personal information other than public and employment information to use the services offered on its website. This information is not obtained through the website but through the mechanisms established in the procedures that regulate access to the website in its transactional content. This information is technologically protected and cannot be accessed from the website.

The USER is solely responsible for keeping his/her user profile and password confidential. To reduce risks, the Port of Cartagena Group recommends the user log out of his/her account and close his/her browser window when finished, especially if sharing a computer with someone. Under no circumstances should the user use a computer in a public place such as a library or an Internet café.

If a user forgets the password or needs to change it due to loss of confidentiality, the USER must contact his/her employer’s USER administrator to assign a new password according to the procedures established for this purpose.

Although the Port of Cartagena Group has a technological protection system that covers its servers to the Internet output, no Internet transmission can guarantee 100% security. The Port of Cartagena Group cannot guarantee that the information provided on its website or through its service is completely secure, so the USER must additionally take his/her own protection measures.

Confidentiality of Information

The Port of Cartagena Group will not share or disclose confidential information with third parties, except with the express authorization of those who subscribed, or when it has been required by a court or legal order, or to protect the Port of Cartagena Group’s intellectual property rights or other rights.

Acceptance of terms

This Privacy and Data Protection Statement is subject to the Port of Cartagena Group’s terms and conditions, which constitutes a legal agreement between the USER and the Port of Cartagena Group.
